Our Origin
Why the name matters
When Aptissimus was founded, we kept coming back to the same observation: businesses in the mid-market were caught between two extremes. Enterprise-scale vendors brought bloated contracts and indifferent account managers. Freelance technicians brought unpredictable availability and no accountability. Neither was a true fit.
The name comes from the Latin superlative of aptus — meaning "the most fitting, the most suitable." It's the same root that underpins the word "apt," and it anchors everything we do: every engagement is sized, scoped, and staffed to fit your business exactly.
It's also the root of Darwin's famous phrase, "Survival of the Fittest." We take that seriously. The businesses that thrive are not always the biggest or the best-funded — they're the ones most capable of adapting. Our job is to make sure your technology never becomes the thing holding you back from that adaptability.
